This is a beautiful park and surrounding town to visit. Plenty of shops to stop in. A few cozy local shops as well. You have the big lake and the beach to visit in the area. Good fishing as well around the pier and channel.
Lovely little museum. My kids enjoyed climbing up to the top to look out. They had a little trouble on the way back down (the metal stairs are grated so if you're afraid of heights it may be a little intimidating). Nice collection of historical items, too, if you're into that sort of thing!
Great place to check out the sunset. Brought my family here on the last night we were in town and we loved it. Beautiful walk down the pier and the museum is also very neat from the outside. Tours of the lighthouse were (I believe), $5 for adults and cheaper for children, but my wife and I didn't end up taking it.
Easy access, love this light/keepers home. museum has many interesting artifacts.
this lighthouse is beautiful...my 2nd time here. I would definetly recommend this site if you enjoy lighthouses, and appreciate the history. plus having a nice beach/ pier surrounding is also very nice. the volunteers at the lighthouse were also very helpful, knowledgeable about the workings and the history of the surrounding lights! enjoy the view from the top!!
